Nurse2Nurse changed my entire  healing path.

Being able to call Nurse2Nurse  changed my entire nursing path and life. When I reached out, I was a new grad, just eight months into my career, and at my lowest point. I had made a mistake, and although I reported it, I had no one to help guide me through the situation. I was devastated, overwhelmed with self-blame, and couldn’t stop crying. I had finished nursing school during the pandemic, which limited my education on hospital operations and real-world experience.  Since this was my first nursing job, I had no way of realizing just how far my experience was from what it should have been. On top of that, I was working nights  with limited support or resources. All of this left me feeling lost and isolated. Karen, the N2N peer I connected with,  not only supported me emotionally but also provided the education I desperately needed. She validated my feelings and helped me understand the value of peer support. We talked through my anxieties and  rebuilt my confidence.  I remember constantly telling her that I had no nursing skills, but she always corrected me with kindness—reminding me of everything I had accomplished. With her help, I updated my resume and successfully obtained a job in a new hospital. Now, I’m excited to continue growing as a nurse and to be learning more each day. One day, with my passion for advocating for pediatric patients, I also hope to become an educator—to help nurses just like Karen did for me. I’m also incredibly grateful that I was able to share this resource with the coworkers I left behind. Knowing they now have access to help and support  gives me peace of mind. From the bottom of my heart, I want Nurse2Nurse to know how deeply grateful I am for this resource and for every moment they spent guiding, teaching, and supporting me.
